Fundraising & Donations
In order to exist, organizations must have funding sources. In addition to government and private granting sources, The Hawai`i Island HIV/AIDS Foundation has been blessed by the generosity of our community.
Our fundraising programs such as the "Taste of Life" and "Under A Hilo Moon" have provided much needed funds used to provide assistance to clients. While public and private grants cover a large portion of client needs, not all clients meet qualifying requirements and guidelines for the assistance they need. Every penny raised through fundraising efforts and donations goes directly towards meeting our clients needs.
Over the past few years, the numbers of HIV infected individuals we serve has grown, while we continue to experience larger reductions in governmental grant funding. We know the clients we serve represent only a portion of infected individuals living in our community. We are bracing ourselves for an increase in client numbers at any time. We must continue to educate our entire community. We must find new directions to control the spread of HIV/AIDS. Our fundraising efforts are more critical now than ever.
Everyone deserves to live a normal life. We sincerely hope you will continue to help.
Donate whatever you can as often as you can.
Mahalo!
